Earth Day is around the corner (April 22), and we are celebrating with new photos of our products in action - in the house and out of doors!
Some of you may be wondering why our inaugural Ecosaurus lineup is all green, all the time (at least for now). In part, it's because green is the new neutral - not only in a carbon footprint sense, but colorwise. Green is evergreen, and it has a minty freshness about it, as well as versatility, i.e., it can be dressed for any occasion. Here are several examples that prove this to be true.
Spring: Our latest photos showcase Ecosaurus gift wrap and cards looking fresh and punchy thanks to brightly colored ribbons tied fancifully - perfect for spring birthdays, May Day, graduations and Mother's Day.
Summer: Rendering our grassy-green goods seasonally suitable for the sun-soaked summer months can be done using independence-inspired ribbons in red, white and blue (perhaps with a little flag); hot yellow ties; and crafty trinkets such as little drink umbrellas, flip-flops fashioned from ribbon and paper scraps, and more.
Autumn: Come fall, black and orange bows and hangers-on such as spider rings and ribbon-cinched bags of candy corn can achieve a fun Halloween feel. Colorful leaves can also be used to impart organic umph either on top of a gift or tucked into a card.
Winter: For end-of-year festivities such as greeting-writing and gift-giving, our snow-white-and-green products pair perfectly with rich crimsons and bright Hanukkah blues.
Finally, another reason we printed with all green is that we are a self-funded start-up, and it was wisest and most economical to print in one color across a sizable quantity. And so that is how we planted this all-green Ecosaurus seed, and we're watering it with our hard work and feeding it healthy greens (the money kind) to make it grow. As it grows, other colors will come into bloom in the Ecosaurus garden. We look forward to that time, but for now, we celebrate the here, the now and our introductory collection. After all, that's carpe-diem-style sustainable, and it lays an eco-friendly foundation for the future. ~ A.F. & J.S.
